Trustee Karen Beard has turned her love of pottery making into a source of much needed funds for Gumboots, recently raising over £1000!  Over the last few years trustees, Angela Dyer and Karen Beard, have both turned their creative skills into cash for Gumboots.  Both Angela and Karen are enthusiastic designer makers and, tapping into the current desire for individual hand-made items over mass produced good, they have organised, or participated in, a number of dedicated pop-up Arts or Craft Markets.

So if you are similarly skilled, why not try to sell some of your beautiful hand-made items at a local craft market, (there is bound to one near you),  and donate the proceeds to us?  Not only will you be indulging your  creative urges and giving pleasure to your lucky buyers, but also improving the life chances of a young person in South Africa.  Give it a try – it’s very fulfilling!
